How AI Super Index handles account, submission, Chrome extension, analytics, newsletter, and payment information.
Last updated: June 28, 2026.
Who this policy covers
This policy explains how AI Super Index collects, uses, stores, and shares information through aisuperindex.com, related admin and submission workflows, newsletters, paid listing workflows, and the AI Super Index Discovery Capture Chrome extension.
Information we collect
We collect information you submit directly, including account details, tool submissions, claim requests, profile updates, newsletter signups, waitlist requests, support requests, and messages sent through contact forms. This may include your name, email address, organization, website, role, submitted tool information, and the content of your message or submission.
If you create an account, we process authentication information needed to maintain access, protect your account, and verify administrative or vendor permissions. Passwords are handled through the authentication system and are not stored as plain text.
If you purchase or manage paid listing services, payment card details are processed by Stripe. AI Super Index may receive related billing records such as customer identifiers, subscription status, product or price selected, invoices, transaction metadata, and payment status, but we do not store full payment card numbers.
Chrome extension information
The AI Super Index Discovery Capture Chrome extension is used by authorized AI Super Index administrators to submit AI tool websites into the private AI Super Index Discovery queue. When an authorized user explicitly submits a page, link, or selection, the extension may send the submitted URL or link URL, current tab URL, current tab title, optional selected text, quick tags, optional notes, extension version, and authentication information such as extension username or email address, password, extension token, or session cookie to aisuperindex.com.
The extension does not monitor browsing in the background, does not collect general browsing history, does not record clicks, keystrokes, mouse position, scroll behavior, or location, and does not capture screenshots. It only sends page, link, or selected text information after the authorized user takes an explicit action in the extension popup or context menu. Selected text is limited before submission.
The extension stores only its settings and authentication state in Chrome storage, including API base URL and optional extension authentication credentials. Those settings may be synced by Chrome if browser sync is enabled.
For Chrome Web Store disclosure purposes, extension data may include personally identifiable information, authentication information, web browsing activity limited to submitted URLs and domains, and website content limited to submitted links or selected text. The extension does not collect health information, financial or payment information, personal communications, location data, or user activity such as network monitoring, clicks, mouse movement, scroll behavior, or keystroke logging.
Analytics and infrastructure
We may process basic technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, page views, request timestamps, cookies, and server logs. We use this information to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, understand usage, and improve the product. Where analytics consent controls are shown, optional analytics tools are loaded according to that choice.
How we use information
We use information to operate the AI Super Index directory, review and verify listings, manage accounts, process submissions and claims, provide customer support, send transactional messages, deliver newsletters when requested, process payments, maintain security, debug technical issues, and improve the website and Discovery workflows.
Chrome extension data is used only to authenticate authorized users and create or update private Discovery candidates for review. AI Super Index does not sell extension data, use it for advertising, transfer it to data brokers, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. Use of Chrome extension data adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate AI Super Index, comply with law, protect rights and security, or complete a user-requested workflow. Service providers may include hosting and infrastructure providers, database and storage providers, email delivery and newsletter providers, payment processors such as Stripe, analytics providers when enabled, and security or anti-abuse services.
We do not sell personal information or Chrome extension user data. We do not transfer user data to third parties for unrelated purposes, personalized advertising, data brokerage, or creditworthiness or lending decisions.
Cookies and local storage
AI Super Index may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, preferences, analytics consent, and product analytics where enabled. The Chrome extension uses Chrome storage for extension settings as described above.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the directory, maintain accounts, review listings, provide paid services, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, preserve security, and maintain audit trails. Discovery submissions and listing records may be retained as part of the editorial and operational history of the directory.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including HTTPS for data in transit, access controls, authentication, provider-managed infrastructure protections, and limited access to operational systems. No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
Your choices
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe using the link in newsletter emails. Account holders can update account information through available account settings. Some information may be retained when needed for security, legal, tax, billing, dispute-resolution, or operational audit purposes.
Children
AI Super Index is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International processing
AI Super Index and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product, legal requirements, or service providers change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last updated date.
